Instant film

I'm an instant gratification kind of girl... I love the outcome of good 'ol fool proof instant cameras. Here are some I took in Mexico this past winter.

Southern comfort

Mr. Z and are in the process of purchasing a place (eek!) and our-place-to-be has all south facing windows, on the top floor. Is there a better place to start a window farm? I think not... During our rainy outing on Saturday, we stumbled upon The Windowfarms Project store. I can't wait to pick off a fresh piece of lettuce and basil for summer sandwiches and salads!

Aside from being super useful and helping us city dwellers get a bit of nature inside our homes, the Windowfarms organization has positive impacts all around the world, starting right here in Brooklyn.

Yesterday I was lucky enough to attend the SOFA New York Expo for the first time, thanks to a ticket from Charlene (thanks girl!). I left the place completely inspired, with gears working extra hard in the 'ol brain. I also felt a little under productive... but am glad to have peeked at such talented artists' work! Here's a summary of my little day trip to the Upper East Side. I say day trip, because when you're coming from Brooklyn, it's sort of a hike. The day was sooo beautiful and sunny that the UES seemed like a perfect little suburb away from the grime, complete with a boutique plastic surgeon's office ;-)

The apartment shopping process is getting me a bit obsessed with interiors. Especially retro Parisian interiors. Check out Designer Jean-Christophe Aumas' apartment. I wonder if I can incorporate bright yellow somehow? It makes me happy every time I look at it.
